Remote location was a plus.

It made my trip to Ansty a comfortable experience. There was plenty of exceptional meals. Airy room with big comfortable bed, good shower pressure, for example, the staff was exceptional, whenever I needed help. The location was remote, magnificent by the beach.

Comfortable decor with fine countryside views. Room was too hot for a good night's sleep.

This is the best hotel that we have stayed in for a very long time. Lovely staff , great menu and the area is spectacular
. There was no mobile signal for miles but this wasn't a problem for us as we wanted a complete getaway

The food was excellent. Both food and drinks were not too expensive given the fact this is the only establishment of its type for miles around and they therefore have a captive audience.
Despite comments above we found the evening meal menu very limited in choice. There were no changes during the course of our stay and no "specials" available. The staff were accomodating but not particulary friendly. The bathroom was in need of a complete overall so I would challenge the hotel's 4 star aa rating.

The unit we got was spotless with a Georgian bedroom and a big bed.
Can’t think of anything!

Rooms were delightful, and the food very good. We were there mid week and the bar was dead in the evenings.
Only that as it was so far away from a big town the bar was really quiet each evening.

Amazing wedding weekend
Just got married and we couldn't have asked for a better venue! The food was fab, the place was beautifully decorated and super cozy. The staff? They treated us like family, especially Ali-she was a star! Only wish the drinks were a bit cheaper. Can't wait to go back and visit everyone again!

Very friendly staff, excellent food and real ale in the bar. Room was spacious and value for money, bed was very very comfortable.
Could have been a few more items in bathroom for our use.

We had a lovely two-night stay with delicious meals, especially breakfast that was freshly cooked and hit the spot. We enjoyed winding down at the sun terrace and garden area, perfect for relaxing afternoons. The only downside was how warm our room got, but a little fan did help! 😊

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. The room was excellent value for money, if a little chilly! Our dinner was served well, was hot when it arrived and very tasty. In all our visit was was a delight and we would certainly visit again.

We found the staff very friendly and accomodating. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with a six foot bed. The tea and coffee making facility were good with an option of fresh milk. The hotel can accomodate dogs, which we did not take as we were going to a wedding but in the future we will take them. We ate in the hotel and the food choice was very good, and the food presented inan appealing way. The ales on offer were local as was the meat. The breakfast was delicious and there was a good choice of hot meals including kippers, smoked salmon and scrambled egg, which I had on one morning, but the full English was appetizing and not at all greasy and my request for poached eggs was easy for them. All in all we had a super three days break and I would cretianly visit this hotel again. The only downside was that it is along country lanes, and so the car got covered in mud, but a small price to pay for such a good value and welcoming stay. There is a residents lounge with a log fire, books, and games.

The pub exudes charm with friendly staff and good food, especially the cheesecakes. The service can be slow at times and the layout of the bar area could provide more seating options. It's a cozy spot that invites a return visit.
